Absolutely wonderful surprise. After leaving a previous hotel (the Clayton, trust me, don’t stay there!) we arrived close to midnight, greeted by a friendly receptionist. Our room was lovely, freshly decorated and perfectly clean. We stayed in a four star place the week before and if anything, the Burlington exceeded this and it’s rated at just 3! Lovely comfortable beds, immaculate shower room. All the things you’d expect - tea, coffee, shampoo etc. Room itself was large and bright. Also there’s a bar in basement which is great too! Sadly didn’t try the food, but it looked tasty. 100% recommend!
Amazing Room with very nice sea view. The bay tree bar downstairs has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is beautiful and the cocktails are to die for. My wife enjoyed The vast gin selection. (50 different kinds). The staff are friendly and go out of there way to help. I will recommend to all.

Lovely place to stay. Extra touches for cake and wine to enjoy plus home made bread for breakfast. Staff are lovely.
This is marketed as a 5 star hotel on some sites and 4 star on others but is neither. It is more like a very good 3 star. Clean, tidy, good service etc.
Cheriton Park, Cheriton High Street, Kent, Folkestone CT18 8AN, UK – 01303 298450
Convenient place to get a much needed rest before heading across the channel. The building itself is lovely and the rooms are what you'd expect, nothing wrong at all. Friendly staff were accommodating. The breakfast was the disappointment for me, though. It immediately struck me as less than sanitary. Many of the food items tasted strange and the tea had some kind of film over it. I stuck to fruit, however, and had an adequate meal. Besides the breakfast, my stay was comfortable and relaxing and exceptionally convenient and reasonably priced.
Bedroom was fine, would have been nice to have been able to turn air con down lower than 19! Downstairs was filthy, the carpet area had food everywhere (at 6am) and the hard floors around the bar and breakfast area were so sticky underfoot everyone was commenting about it. It is convenient for the channel tunnel though!
Perries Mead, Broadmead, Folkestone CT19 5UD, UK – 01303 250903
I was here for a Wake. Standard buffet and the ale just ordinary at best but the pub was very friendly and we felt most welcome. If i lived local I would call in again.
Lovely friendly pub. Excellent roast dinner and dog friendly

The pub is cosy, warm and welcoming. The food quality and quantity is excellent. A large beer garden family friendly at the typical times you'd expect from a rustic pub. My only minor complaint is the speed of food arriving at the table as it can feel slow at times but the trade off is all items are cooked to order.
Fantastic atmosphere and the food is some of the best in the area in my opinion. Staff are friendly and they are happy to cater for large groups at short notice . They managed to sort a table for 12 of us with only a few hours notice. Highly recommended.

Have been visiting this little gem of a pub for many years. There is always a friendly welcome. The food is renowned here and is all freshly prepared and cooked. Where possible only local ingredients are used. A place to come and relax in comfort.
Popped in to escape the extreme sun! Had an amazing lunch. The triple saisage baguette was fanrsfant. Top notch service too. A treasure in the quiet part of town. Well worth a visit.

Old Barn Cottage 1 Peene House Cottages, Peene Cottages, Peene, Folkestone CT18 8BA, UK – 01303 273402
Very quaint out of the hustle and bustle of the motorway. Clean tidy and very friendly. Kay, was lovely even when we got there 5 hours late.
Located just 5 minutes from the Eurotunnel Terminal, Old Barn Cottages is a small friendly B&B. Kay is a lovely host, who has some great recommendations for pubs in the local area. The bedroom is very quiet, and the property itself is an old building with charm. The stairs are a little steep, but easily manageable. We have stayed there twice recently, and enjoy the packed breakfast we are given on departure on LeShuttle to France. Would definitely recommend.

A friendly place to spend my 3 days. A great sleep, super breakfast and fantastic hosts. Thank you!
An excellent friendly and welcoming place . Nothing is too much trouble , it is fairly priced. The breakfasts are amazing ! Have been at least 4 times and wouldn't go anywhere else
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
The Warren, Folkestone CT19 6NQ, UK – 01303 255093
T We have been coming to The Warren for years. We love the atmosphere and the other campers. The staff have usually been helpful and kind.just one season when they weren't. No signal for my phone but l survive and my phone always changes to French time.! If you are looking for a laid back weekend with excellent shower and laundry block .lovely beach walks and Folkestone shopping and beaches within walking distance then The Warren willl delight you. Well behaved dogs are welcome and usually the children are equally good! No swings or other activities but the beach is a two minute walk away.
Shame we couldn't have stayed longer but due to a booking error by me we had no electric. It looked a lovely site and very busy. Beware of the tight access. Busy single track road down to the beach is also the access to the site and it was very busy even outside of school holidays
Wear Bay Rd, Folkestone CT19 6PS, UK – 01303 252168
Love this place on a sunny day. Great views and fresh air. You can camp here too. Staff is friendly and food is nice. We come here for a morning coffee to enjoy the views. Not much parking here. It can get cramped with cars quickly. They take only cash.
We didn't camp or stay here but just visited the cafe for Sunday breakfast. It's set high above Folkestone near the Warren and has amazing views. Facilities look good and it was very busy. The cafe is dog friendly.
